At the end of July 2010, my wife and I were moving to NYC and purchased nearly all of the
furniture in our apartment from Zafar Zaff at FurnitureNYC.net. We spent approximately
$3000 in product cost and delivery fees at that time. Among those purchases was the
Madrid Sofa and Loveseat (price: $798.00). In early December 2010, the Madrid Loveseat
frame broke as a result of the product being defective. The design and construction of the
Loveseat is such that the piece of wood on the front of the frame cannot withstand the
weight of being sat on over time, even by average-sized people like my wife and me. I
called Zafar on December 12, 2010 and explained this to him. He asked that I send him a
picture of the broken Loveseat, which I did the same day. Over the next week I had
several email and phone exchanges with Zafar where he assured me that the design of the
Loveseat was not faulty and that the one we received must have had a defect.
